Allen School Julie Oliva, coordinator |
*All of Allen was Irish on St. Patrick's
Day with the green Shamrock necklaces *The dead of winter was a great time to have a "soup-er" luncheon! |

Haines 6th Grade
Center Nancy Brown, coordinator |
*At the opening of school, each member
received a magnetic "school-themed" memo pad with a "Best Wishes for a
Great Year" from YOUR MEA sticker attached. *In October, there were small jack-o-lantern memo pads. *In November, members were treated to a luncheon of baked ziti and meatballs and so much more from Roselli's. This provided a meal on a day that the cafeteria wasn't serving and also allowed everyone time to get together with those on the "opposite lunch schedule." |

Transportation Building |
In March, the transportation department had a "Spring Spirit Luncheon". Cold cuts and rolls were purchased with our MEA Spirit money and members made cold salads and desserts, they also contributed beverages and snacks. The event was held in the bus garage in-between school runs. After a long winter of driving in the snow and cold weather, their spirits were surely raised as Spring arrived! |

*Around
Halloween, we bagged green jelly beans, attached poems, and put the
“witches’ warts” in everyone’s mailboxes. *We coordinated a pajama day for staff and teachers and provided a pizza lunch for the staff. *We decorated the faculty room and called it the CP Penitentiary. We bought pencils that say Happy UnSpring Break 2005, have made WANTED posters for all of the teachers and assistants, and provided lunch from Shop Rite. |
